War Legacy


As you may know, I'm a C++ programmer and I do it for fun, nor for work (yet).
I've been working on a game called "War Legacy", in which you must control a spaceship in a space battle.
I am dedicating a lot of time in it's production and learning a lot too.

In the beginning, around january/2013, I had something like that:
War Legacy v.0.02

The ships were those triangles, there weren't much investment on graphics, but the gameplay was pretty solid.

In the most recent version I have this:
War Legacy v.0.19

With time, I designed some ships and enhancing the visual of the game. I think it came out pretty nice.

My point is: I intend to use this environment (the blog) to divulge updates about this project that I want to launch at least until the end of the year.

A bit about the game:
  • The Plot:
    • The story is about a "space commander" that was nominated to lead collection missions of a rare mineral found in the Solar System; This mineral became a key to nuclear energy.
    • The problem appears when there are other nations interested in the mineral, and that commander will have to fight for hegemony.
    • What I have here is not the final product and can be altered in the elapse of the development.
  • The Mechanics
    • For the time being what I have about mechanics of the game is just: control a spaceship around and destroy everyone else.
